Some journeys aren't meant to be rushed.

Meet Simple Man's newest companion: a sloth of famously unhurried temperament, who has never once felt the need to hurry anywhere, and sees no reason to start now. So Simple Man, ever patient, gathers him up in his arms and carries him home.

As the two make their way through the countryside, the world seems to slow down. The light lingers a little longer. The path feels a little wider. There is no place to be but exactly where they are. It's a gentle reminder that sometimes the best way home is simply to take your time.

Slow Walk Home is the third artwork in Evie's Country Walk Series, a collection of original watercolours following Simple Man through the landscapes, seasons, and small delights of everyday life.

The Story Behind the Simple Man Artwork

Following on from Catwalk and Off to Donaldson's Dairy, Slow Walk Home continues the wandering journey of the Simple Man artworks, a community movement designed to support the small businesses and charities that hold our Southern Highlands villages together. Each new addition to the Country Walk Series carries forward that same spirit of companionship: a first print signed with Evie's hallmark purple signature is sent out into the community, moving from business to business, spreading warmth and generosity along the way.
